"Squeeze me into an empty page of your diary"

"It just seems like, you agree to have a certain personality or something. For no reason. Just to make things easier for everyone. But when you think about it, I mean, how do you know it’s even you?" Angela Chase, My So Called Life

"You can't buy feelings and you can't buy anything worth having." Jarvis Cocker, Pulp

"I've always spent more time with a smile on my face than not, but the thing is, I don't write about it" Robert Smith, The Cure

"Just found out Justin Beiber's that kid that's always on the TV when I'm in the gym. He's about 5 right?" Lily Allen

"Give me a Polaroid picture to fit in my pocket..."

"...and I'll paste it into my heart-shaped locket"

"She's In Fashion"

I could genuinely do an entire blog simply dedicated to beautiful/ natural/ scruffy/ delightful photos of Alexa Chung- I fancy her and Alex Turner to point where it's bordering on unhealthy.

Alison Mosshart- I envy her gold boots with a fierce passion & love how some photographs sometimes show slight smooth edges to the rough, messy exterior.

Agyness Deyn. She may spell her name funny but she has a lovely Yorkshire accent, is friends with Henry Holland and there really is no-one else like her.

Daisy Lowe. Genuinely- words fail me.

Shaved head/ ripped tights/ epitomizes grunge & slightly resembles that of Rayanne Graph from My So Called Life- what more do you need? Alice Dellal, I love you.

Some Like It Hot

Good evening, I saw that film for the first time tonight and it is absolutely fantastic!

'Some Like It Hot' is beautiful, hilarious, fun, delightful, cheeky, classic and I just love it. Simple as that really, there isn't much more I can say. I would recommend it to anybody, plus Marilyn Monroe is simply gorgeous I think we were all somehow aware of that anyway, but the black and white-ness of the film just highlights her rare and natural beauty in an innocent and charming way...

These two are my favourites,,, The sunshine and pastels mixed with classic make-up and trusting, enchanting eyes, seem to compliment and demonstrate her balance between woman and girl. Before I admit to another girl-crush, I'll just say that in the last photo, she looks simply angelic.

"It's often just enough to be with someone. I don't need to touch them. Not even talk. A feeling passes between you both"

"Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together."

Things that have made me happy

1) Santa's thoughtful generosity

^Don't judge me on that JLS card- it was a joke, largely a joke...

2) Pulp (and Suede) reforming and watching their Glastonbury set on telly <3
...In a world of Tinie Tempah, Justin Beiber and The Wanted, music needs Jarvis and Bret back now more than ever!

^Note the knitted jumper

3) Getting black and white Polaroid film, then finding inspiration in this...

4) Convincing myself that I touched the sleeve of Keith Murray on the 26th of November. http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=332011&id=672804950

5) Watching 'Whatever Happened To The Likely Lads' Christmas special- solely encase of any Libertines references... instead I discovered that it's fantastic

6) Collaging my bedroom walls with a variety of magazine cuttings
(Photo available when my camera decides to converse with the computer)

7) The beautiful mysticalness of this photo

8) And finding videos of The Smiths on Top Of The Pops
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1PV4eiDi12w
and ultimately, a photo of Morrissey smiling...

Soft

That title could be a reference to the Elastica song 'S.O.F.T' or the Kings Of Leon one [I was listening to 'Aha Shake Heartbreak' just before- wonderful, just wonderful] but actually, 'soft' is there to describe the blurred pastel photography that follows...

Sorry all these models are so thin, I also feel bad for not blogging in ages, so cause I'm in the mood to now, I'll probably end up doing about 5, plus I want a distraction from incomplete english coursework and I just loved those photos. The lighting makes them all seem quite delicate and innocent, like a fantasy dream or something... I hope you liked them as well :)

Knitted jumpers, snow & more reference to nerds...

Hello/Happy Christmas! Sorry I haven't been here since the 4th, well I have been here but unmanageably busy (plus Miranda's been on) Basically, this is what I've been doing- and it froze my feet untill it felt like blood circulation was impossible...

There really is something lovely about knitted jumpers- somehow, in my head, anybody wearing one becomes instantly attractive, fashionable and trustworthy. Maybe that's just because I'm perculiar and have an inkling for nerds, but look at these...

To be fair- there are other contributing factors as to why I fancy Kurt Cobain and Noel Fielding, besides the knitted jumpers. Anyway, these next photos were taken on the journey back from those clothing coated trees, encase any of you were wondering how that went for me...

There's my mum (just to reassure you- the car wasn't moving at the point)

^ Sunlight pouring in through the backseat window

And finally, here is some more nice knitwear and, not just my inspiration for the first lot of photos (I have more but they're on the school computers), but my general hero and inspiration in life, photo's, ideas, whatever... Tim Walker.

^Sadly, not mine

Trying not to sound cheesy, but I hope whoever you lot are that read these rambles and look at these things had a magical Christmas and have a lovely 2011
